MOON POWER Germany electrified 19 locations of the traditional Seitz car dealership group with photovoltaic systems, charging infrastructure, storage systems and energy management systems. The Seitz car dealership in Memmingen, with its 199.65 kWp PV power, fast chargers, and storage systems, is an example of how car dealerships can be set up in an energy-efficient and future-proof manner. The Seitz Group, with 29 branches and over 1,250 employees, is one of the largest car dealership groups in southern Germany and has been actively promoting mobility for almost 100 years – today with a clear focus on electric mobility.
Car dealerships are facing new challenges due to the transition to electric mobility: increasing charging demand, higher electricity costs and the need for efficient energy infrastructure. With MOON POWER Germany, the Seitz Group is focusing on integrated solutions that intelligently network photovoltaics, storage and charging infrastructure. The aim is to make maximum use of the self-generated solar power – for falling energy costs, reduced CO₂ emissions and a future-proof supply of car dealerships.

MOON POWER was responsible for everything from planning to installation and commissioning and now ensures efficient operation. In 2024 alone, the plant generated 166,373 kWh of electricity, of which 30,870 kWh was used for electromobility and 25,706 kWh was fed into the grid.
A decisive factor for success is MOON POWER's energy management system . It maximizes the use of self-generated electricity, avoids load peaks and ensures solar-optimized charging. In the event of an emergency, part of the car dealership can even continue to be supplied with electricity.
