Radstadt has history. But the medieval town in the Pongau region has by no means
fallen out of time. On the contrary, today the town, located 70 kilometers south of
the city of Salzburg, has become an e-mobility pioneer. One player that stands for
this positive change is the Car Dealership Radstadt. A long-standing Volkswagen
partner and reliable employer from the region is acting in an exemplary manner with
a long-term perspective and an eye to the future.
Since the end of 2019, the company has been producing 100% green electricity in the
form of photovoltaic systems. Under the management of MOON, 644 PV modules were
installed, which together reach a total output of 199.64 kWp. The different nature
of the roofs (flat roof with gravel roofing, standing seam roof with sheet metal
seam roofing) as in the case of the Radstadt car dealership was recorded in advance
by trained service personnel, the requirements for this determined, in order to
ultimately guarantee a smooth installation. In the case of the photovoltaic system
in question, an expected annual production of approx. 210,000 kWh* was calculated.
An electric vehicle with a consumption of 20 kWh per 100 km can thus cover more
than 1 million km - per year.
In addition, a public charging station was put into operation at the site. The
Power DC Charger can charge 75 kWh direct current as well as 22 kWh alternating
current (AC). The pleasing result: Autohaus Radstadt customers are already charging
with 100% CO2-free electricity!
