How a DC charging station finds its home

A modular DC fast charger, around two metres high and weighing 700 kg – such an installation does not happen everyday, but requires precise planning. At the location of the used car center in Gersthofen, our MOONteur Mario Specht accompanies the path of the charging station starting from delivery to commissioning.

In the morning, the mounting begins with a forklift truck that sets the parcel down safely. With technical expertise, Mario unpacks the POWER Charger 300 with 300 kW charging power, two CCS2 charging points and a modular power stack design – while his colleague has completed the preparations on the foundation. The installation is completed in a total of about four to five hours: from the cabling to the mechanical screwing to the final integration into the backend system.
